It started with Hurricane Irma…
And after the spark of an idea, quick action, and a community of collaboration, the Magic City Hurricane Relief Concert was born. My sister and I threw this event together in a matter of days and did everything from securing the venue (the now defunct Wynwood Yard) to getting the flyer designed (see above) to booking an entire lineup of musical acts. We raised over $3,000 for Hurricane Irma Community Recovery Fund in Miami-Dade County and Third Wave Volunteers who provided short term disaster and emergency humanitarian relief to our brothers and sisters in the Keys and Naples. Oh, and we got featured on the news!
